Georgetown ia now ready for the track.
The grade for two miles below Ripley is
also completed.

River News.
The Queen City was aground in the
mud below Sewickly at laBt accounts.
The Virginia, of the Pittsburg and Cin
cinnati Packet Company, was pulled out
at the Cincinnati Marine Railway dry
docks for a complete overhauling, and
when completed will be as good as a new
boat.
The signal of all the Pittsburg com
bine tewboats is one long blast of the
whistle and three Bhort ones. When in
distress three short and one long blast
is the signal. This was the signal of the
Walton boats, and the signals of all other
towboatB have been abolished that went
into the combirie.
Owing to the peculiar season, it is said
to be very difficult to get tobacco in case.

Park's Flill Camp Meeting.
On above account the L. and N. railroad will
sell round trip tickets to Parks Hill 'Aug. 6th to
ICth at 0 cts., return limit Aug. 17th. On Sun
days, Aug. 9th and 16th, rpeclal trains leave
Maysville at 8 a. m. and 6:16 p. m returning
leave camp grounds at 4:15 p. m. and 9 p. m.
Round trip tickets 75 cents, good on special
trains on date of sale only.
Elks Fairs Maysville.
On above account the L. and N. railroad will
sell round-trip tickets to Maysville at one fare
August 19th to 22nd ; return limit August 24th.
No tickets sold for less than 0 cents. August
21st and 22ad a special train will leave Paris at 11
a. m. Returning special will leave Maysville at
7 p.m.

nati, O., will deliver his lecture-on "Ttio Man of
Galllleo" on Saturday, July 23th, and also preach
on tho first Sunday, and Rev. E. 8. Dunham, of
Delaware, O., the noted evangelist, will bo pres
ent during the. entire meeting. During the
meotlng tho ministers of the Covington and .Uh
lan d districts will be beard.
Miss Annie Galllmore, of India, will have
charge of the children's services. B. K. Muse
will lead the singing. Miss Cruse, of Latonia,
Ky., will be the organist The Presiding Elders,
F. W. Harrqp of tho Covington and J. R Howes
of the Ashland districts, will be in chargoof all
the services.
