The finance tommltteo of the Lewis and Clarko exposition reports that the funds made ivailable for the exposition up to No vember exceed one million dollars. An tffort will be made to secure from the next national congress an appropria tion of ?2,500,000. Of the state ap propriations that of Minnesota is the argest, being $70,000. Eight other state have contributed various sums from $10,000 upward, many more states have promised to make appro priations and some of those already :ontributing have agreed to double their appropriations. Several foreign :ountrles and many of the states of the union have agreed to exhibit all Dr a largo portion of the Louisiana Purchase exposition exhibits at tho Lewis and Clark exposition.
