COMMITTEE TO PROBEMORGAN HOUSE WANTS TO‘KNOW ALL ABOUT GREAT MARINE MONOPOLY. Special Nuggat Service WASHINGTON. Jnn. 12.—The mer chants marine committee of the house has decided to probe the marine mon opoly of John Pierpont Morgan. This monopoly involves a capital of one hundred and twenty million dollars and Is said to be the real fault of all the shipping trouble notwithstanding the statement that Oreat Britain and Oermany control the maritime trade of the world. It Is regarded In some circles as quite possible that the two countries named do really control the shipping but that they do so through the ma chinations of Morgan. REPUBLICANS CONVALESCING GOVERNOR OSBORNE URGES ALL FACTIONS OF PARTY TO UNITE. Special Nuggst Service. DETROIT. Jan. 12.—Qoveronr os borne of this state declared today that the republican parly already gives signs of recovering from Its sickness. He uses the word convalescing and says that in a very short time the illness which was believed to be seri ous will be proven to have been an indisposition which never really threatened the parly's life. He urges all factions of the party to come together once more in the effort to present a united front, and he gives it as his opinion that the ap parent disruption of the party was nothing more than a superficial dis turbance caused by men who had be come restless for the time being.
