George Madsen, of the Nevada Grill, who is confined to the hos pital with an injured knee, is to receive his crutches today. Patty Kerwin's condition is said to be about the same. Airplane News j Nome Airportl Pilot Crawford of the Mi row j Air Se: vice, made a trip to Tel-j lor last evening with Mr. Erskine| Baker and to Fox Bar with Pete Bowlan, remaining overnight and returning to the Nome base from Teller this morning with Mr. Baker. ' " ' Pilot-manager Hans Mirow of the MAS., made a flight to Spruce Creek last night with Mrs. Fred Jones. Pilot Ray Crawford of the MAS made a trip to Fox Bar and Tay lor with Gorge Lemmon as a pas-1 senger, today. Pilot Hans Mirow in his new S korsky Amphibian ship, made a (light to Glacier Lake today. Pilot Sig Wien of the Wien Al aska Airlines, made a trip yester day to Fox Bar with freight and brought Emil Laurin to Nome as a passenger. Pilot Wien made another trip with Larry Tubutulik to Golovin,' and thence *to Moses Point with n Albert Ukum, returning to Nome last evening with Deputy Marshal A. O. Brown from Koyuk. Wien took off on another trip last evening with Mrs. L. Grant for Pilgrim Springs, and Harry Clark to Candle. Returning via Deering he picked up O. D. Coch ran as a passenger for Nome. This morning Pilot Sig Wien took off for Fox Bar and Teller and transferred the Land Office party to Shishmaref. Took Emil Laurin back to Taylor and Mack 1 lin creek, he also had a load of freight for Fox Bar and Coffee Creek, stopping at Boulder'Dome ' and Rainbow Camp before return ing to the Nome base. Bill Sutton Died On Return Trip Buried Golovin William (Bill) Sutton, well known old timer of Nome and the Dime creek section, who had been in the Nome hospital for some two weeks for medical at tention, and who left for his home at Dime Creek last week aboard the motorship Amy, fell ill enroute and died and was bur ied at Golovin after the vessel arrived there. Mr. Sutton was one of the early gold stampeders during the gold rush days to Nome, mining in this section for a number of years in the vicinity i of Jess creek, later going to the stampede at Dime Creek where he was engaged in mining ever j since.
