The Alameda stopped six hours at
the Nellie Juan cannery on this trip.;
Horn, to Mr. and Mrft. C. Benn, this
morning, a fine eight-pound boy.
George Alberts, who came on the
Alameda today, will leave on the Dora j
for Port Hayden.

here on official business to attend a
term of court at the head of Cook in

G. P. Hale and wife arri\ed today
on the Alameda to sail to the Libby,
McNeil and Libby cannery on the
Dora.
Attorney J. L. Heed arrived from
Valdez this morning and will remain
here several days before going to
Anchorage on a bujiness trip.
John Matzka arrived this morning
to take up duties at ;>e cable office.
He occupies the position which was
held by Jack Lynch.

H. P. Hutton, United States fish
commissioner, arrived on the Alame
da this morning and will sail west on
the Dora to visit the Bristol bay can
neries. He is accompanied by J. Per
rin.

Mrs. K. C. Wood, wife of the presi
dent of the First National Bank of
Fairbanks, filed a suit for divorce re
cently at that place alleging cruelty.
The case was filed and disposed of
within fifteen minutes. The property
rights of the parties were adjusted j
out of court.
