COLD SNAP KILLS SHEETS INSIDE FAIRBANKS.— (By mail.) — The May cold snap may have been hard on human beings in general, and it is not yet entirely over, but it was not as hard on them as it was on the early crop of mosquitoes, according to men who have arrived in Fairbanks from the hills. The report is to the effect that the mosquitoes, which came out in the usual large size and in c’ouds heretofore unknown in the spring of the year, were frozen up when the cold snap hit the interior, none now being in evidence to the traveler on the trails or to the prospector or woud chopper dwelling in the hills.
