THE COCONINO SUN.
Run Over by the Train.
Sunday morning tho conductor of
passenger train No. 1 reported tlial
tho body of u man, evidently killed by
a passing train, was lying at tho stone
quarry crofslng. The coroner and a
number of citizens went to the place
and found tho mangled body of Doting
Huls. His head hud been crushed and
arm mangled.
Just how the accident occurred will
never be known. Huls left hero some
time after 3 o'clock Sunday morning
for the Olney place where ho hud been
stopping with Chas. Moers, and was
evidently struck by un east bound
freight train.
An inquii'-t was held and tho jury
rendered a verdict of iiccideiitul death
and exonerated the ruilroad company
from all blame.
Deceased was an old resident of Klug
statTund followed ranching foraliving,
and was respected by all n ho knew
him. He was about i"2 years of age, a
native of Helgium, and so funis known
had no relatives in this countrv.
