The bill went to the Senate am' on
June 2 1 it wat reported by substitute
for all but the enacting clause and
eo passed, and on the 25th the Houe
concurred in the Senatr's action,
following is the law passed :
"That the provisions of an act en
titled 'An act ma.inz appropriations
for the legislative, executive and ju
dicial expene3 of the Government
for the fi.-caf year ending June 3P,
1379, and for other purposes,' , ap
pro ved June 19, lS78, r pertaining to
government in the several Territories
of the Uni ed Stsre. shall not be fo
coustrurd as to impair or shoren the
tenure of cCx-e of any member of
such Legi Litive Assemblies until the
redistricing and reapportionment f
uch Territories 3 is therein pro
vlded, nor until at the next regular
election thereafin ihe twelve mem
ber of th. Council and twenty-four
members of the Hou?e of Rpiesen
tatives of f uch Territories shall hve
b"en elected and their term of office
begun."
