TRAIN PHOTOGRAPHED

under the title “All Points North,”

Intelligencer carried a fine picture of
the new electric train which arrived
in Seward last week being loaded
aboard the S. S. Oduna at Smith
Cove. An excellent article also ac
companied the photograph.
Cal M. Brosius, local business man,

EVANGELICAL SERVICES
FACTS FROM THE SCRIPTURE
Owing to the universal depravity
of the human race, no one can enter
the Kingdom of God unless born a
gain. No reformation, morality oi'
good works, religious observances or
any other human efforts, can in any
way help the sinner to be saved; a
new life implanted by the Holy Spi
rit, thru the word of God, is abso
mtly essential to salvation. Rom.
5:12-19; John 3:3, Eph. 2:S-9.
Those born again thru faith in
Christ, may be assured of their eter
nal salvation. This assurance is based
wholly upon the written Word of
God, and not upon any experience or
faithfulness on their part. I. John
5:13.
Immersion, the only scriptural bap
tism should be administered to be
lievers only, and is essential to a
life of obedience, but not to salvation.
fRom. 6:4.
By W. R. Maepherson,
Minister of the Gospel.
CHURCH SERVICES SUNDAY
Sunday school 10:30 A. III. in Odd
fellows Hall. Gospel service 7:30 P.
M. will be held in Mr. W. R. Mac
'pherson’s home on Adams street a
jcross from the Episcopal church;
