EPP BACK IN TOWN Abe Epp, who/ arrived in Seward from the States three months ago with the intention of staying for two weeks, returen to the city Saturday 'from the Interior. Mr. Epp was fortu nate in bing invited to join a party heading in for the Circle region and on that trip he enjoyed one of the best times of his young life, he reports. Mr. Epp will remain in the city await ing the arrival from the Westward of Jack Me Cord. BRINGS MUCH FISH The S. S. Redondo, of the Alaska j Steamship company, arrived in port early yesterday morning from the Westward bringing another capacity load of fish products for transfer and reshipment to Seattle on the S. S. Redondo. --- Dr. Philip S. Smith, head of the Alaska activities of the U. S. Geologi cal Survey, who has been making his annual trip to the Territory, passed through Seward yesterday enroute to his Washington, D. C. pffices. Mr. Smith was accompanied by his son Sidney. Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Richardson affd son, of Seattle, were among the ar rivals in Fairbanks during the past week. Mr. Richardson is replacing Les lie A. Marchand, as a member of the Alaska College faculty, during Mr. Marchand’^ absence in France. Upon completion of road work in i the Moose Pass region it is reported j the crews will be moved onto the Ke-; nai-Seward highway where work will I be carried forward. Fresh killed*^ local chickens. Gale, two of the mos-t popular of residences along the entire railroad belt from Seward to Fairbanks, were passengers on the S. S. Yukon last night on their way to the States where they will j j spend a well deserved vacation. For j I the last five years Mr. Gale has been j in charge of the pumping station ''for ijfhe Alaska Railroad at Canyon. Their I home at Canyon was one of the beau I tv spots along the Railroad -and -the source of many enjoyable visits by travelers. A few miles back of the station there is a small lake and on its shores Mr. and Mrs. Gale had a restful little camp as well as a boat on the lake. Prior to coming to Alas- J ka Mr. Gale had an enviable reputa tion as an engineer on the Northern Pacific. The regular weekly business meet ing and luncheon of the Seward Cham ber of Commerce, will be held tomor row at noon at the Seward Grill. Miss Harriet and Lorrin Malstrom of Seattle, who have been making the Yukon river trip, via the Skagway route, passed through Seward yester day enroute home. While at Dawson they remained two months visiting their uncle, Harold Malstrom, publish er of the Dawson News.' Tom Doyle, who has been hunting in the Interior, passed through Sew ard yesterday enroute to Seattle. Congressman Albert H. Vestal of Idiana, who passed through Seward some weeks ago enroute to the Inter ior, on a vacation and hunting trip, is now' in the Healy river coutry from which district he will emerge onto the Richardson highway, thence to Cordo va or Valdez, enroute back to the States. 1 Mrs. J.
