Alaska as a del egate to the Democrat Territorial Convention. FIFTEEN BLUE FOX Pete Saither • arrived in port this mornng from his fox farm, Nuka Day, bringing in 15 blue fox for Jack Me Cord. The fox, nine female and &ix male, will be placed on Mr. McCoaVr jr ranch on Sitkalidak Island. MC CORD IS BACK Jack McCord, who ^as been mak ing a visit to his island, Sitkalidak Island, near Kodiak, and on whish he has started one of the largest cattle ranch and fur farms in the Territor ry, returned today on the M. S. Dis coverer, Capt. H. Berger. Mr. Me Cord has been absent from Seward 13 days. He leaves- for the island again on the S. S. Admiral Watson. TRAIN DUE TONIGHT The rotary got through to Tunnel, Mile 52, last night and was expected to arrive in Seward this afternoon. As a result it is announced, a train from the Interior will arrive this evening. SEVEN EAGLES, MARATHON Seven eagles circling abo.ut the peak of Mount Marathon yesterday gave mute evidence that undoubted ly they were riding herd on some an imal far removed from its regular habitat. (We guess that’s the word) Twas a rare sight, indeed. NENANA AGENT HERE A. A. Johnston, agent for the Alas ka Railroad at Nenana, was an ar rival in Seward on the S. S. Alaska, returning from a six week’s vacation spent in the States. Mr. Johnston, plans on making a brief visit at the Anchorage offices of the railroad, be fore continuing his journey north. Major Geo. W. Albrecht, of Fair banks, returned to Seward last nignt from the South. Major Albrecht is Turning for the Republican nomina tion as National Committeeman from Alaska. He i? at the Van Gilder. C. J. Todd, well known resident of Valdez for many years, is attending tiie local Democratic Territorial Con vention as delegate.
