Upon the authority of Jas. CoP&s, well known Elizabeth Island fox <• chcr, it is learned that A,-F. Erickson will have a floating cannery in that region next year, that already he has six excellent trap sites; Collias has two; and that every indication ap pears favorable for a cold storage plant at Portlock next year. Following the end of the fishing in 1928 Mr. Collias said he had been reliably informed that Erickson will e^ect a shore plaDt at Portlock. Al ready, it is learned, the S. S. Redon do, of the A. S. S. Co., will make regular ports of call at Portlock. In charge of the pile-driving work on the numerous traps will be Mr. Gustofson, well known in Seward Fur several years past he has been 1 prospecting the Westward area and is said to be the discoverer of those ■ fishing grounds. The pile-driver will be sent up from Ketchikan in the spring, it is reported.
