SEASON IT LIBERTY TONIGHT Tremendous was tfie work of screening “The Last Frontier", a Met ropolitan picture production featuring William Boyd, Marguerite De La Motte', J. Farrell Macdonald and Jack Hoxie, which will be exhibited at thej Liberty theatre tonight. Because of the epic proportions of the subject it treats of—the conquest of the west and the bitter life strug gle between the whites and the red men for, the newly opened prairie lands west of Missouri, Director Geo. B. Seitz was resolved to make It one of the outstanding picture features of the year. “The Last Frontier” was originally bought by Thomas Ince from the au thor, Courtney Ryley Cooper, and the producer had expended many thous ands of dollars in preparing it fqr the screen before his sudden death. Director Seitz went into the heart of the American Desert near Tuba City in the Navajo Indian reservation, where most of the scenes were filmed. An impressive cast was chosen for the prduction. William Boyd plays the role of Jom Kirby and Beth is pro-j trayed by Marguerite De La Motte.} The historical figures of Buffalo Bill Cody, Wild Bill, “Pawnee Killer” and Genera) Custer, hero of the Little Big Horn Massacre, are featured in the film. * 11 Jack Hoxie, former Universal star, was engaged for the important role of Buffalo Bill, a part he is particularly suited for because of his experience in western roles and his likeness to the great scout. Wild Bill Hickock, whd slew many men while serving as a peace officer, is played by J. Far rell Macdonald, who made his mark in “The Iron Horse,” and he supplies much of the comedy in “The Last Frontier.” Mitchell Lewis takes the I role of Lige.
