They are to be taken over the trail of long ago with many an enjoyable pause at this and that diversion which many Alaskans followed in the old days with devo tion, perhaps worthy of a better cause. At the same time the money they may spend goes to the upkeep of Sew ard s gymnasium where the youth of the city can build themselves into strong and healthy future voters and middle-aged and the aged can try themselves out to make good their claims that they are just as voting as they used to be. In looking over the layout as prepared for tonight’s blowout, fond memories will spring to mind as the rou lette wheel is turned and the little ivory ball rattles into piace. Perhaps it is just as well one sannot stack his pay-check on the numbers again but there sure is a thrill in it. And the faro layout where once was heard the buttons click and the man with the green eye-shade t :°k your crips or stacked them up again as he pulled >0 esivr.V: f'i om the pox. n there is the bai with th til nt mice many a willing foot used to lift and the gang was in Pi where pi ■ p cue on rrev Of a 0 be stage money and il - v - - e drinks will ;rse it variety known as “near” but there is not a: I ddinner in Seward who wont get a kick out of it as the dealers call the turn, or the lookout stops the play or the says, ’’Ladies and gentlemen, what’ll you bartender have—rain or snow7" Thru the personal effort and supervision of Capt.
