The fishing boat Christine ! brought in one of the rumors whhe another arrival this afternoon stated he had talked to the skipper of the Democrat off Yakatat the 25th of last month and at that time jit was thought the boat would head South with its load. Efforts a^e being made to establish the truth of the report which said at least eight men were lost.
