Bath of Seward schools , reports j arrangements have practically been completed for five games with the Alaska College teams during Christmas vacation and that the sum of $300, the same amount as last year, has been guaranteed the col lege teams. Both teams, the young men and grils’ squads, will play here and as far as is known now the first game will be played off prior to the Southeastern Alaska invasion by the Interior five, the remain ing to be played upon their re turn. Thanksgiving Day the local Hi school team goes to Anchorage to play off the first games of the season. The game between the Hi and City teams, scheduled for the 19th of this month, will be played on the 21st. WISH TO BE REMEMBERED While in Seattle on his recent trip to the States, Jack Bailey, j Westward fur buyer,, spent an! enjoyable visit with Mr. and Mrs. Geo. James, former residents of Seward. Mr. Bailey reports they have a beautiful home and that Mr. James is in business for him self and doing well. Their address is 506 No. 76th St. Seattle. Both wish to be remembered to their many friends here; though they live in Seattle their hearts are in Alaska and no doubt, some day, they will return. OLDTIMER PASSES John S. Scott, of Whitehorse, fuel agent for the Wiiite Pass & Yukon Route for the past several years, had a stroke at Skagway. He was 51 years of age and leaves a wife and daughter. Mr. Scott was well known in the Interior and also in ! the South. Armstrong is held on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon pending a hearing.
