That the Juneau mine is the ! ! greatest factor in the entire gold production of Alaska at this time 1 is indicated by the fact that its output was more than that of all the rest of the mines, both placer | and quartz, in the Territory com bined. This inchufcs all of the j dredges now operating, also. Figures taken from official rec ords of the U. S. Customs Service show that the entire production of . gold shipped to the States last year was worth $3,351,204. This j means that the other mines of Alaska produced $3,151,204, or about $50,000 less than that of the Alaska Juneau.
