FORMER SERVICE
The American Legion is now dis
tributing literature to ex-service
men regarding their rights and
benefits. The legion desires that
all ex-service men. not belonging
to regular posts, to communicate :
with the nearest post. It is said
there are hundreds of ex-service
men who have benefits coming

REGISTER TODAY i
The new registration books for '
the municipal election, which will
be held on April 2, have arrived in
the office of the city clerk and are
awaiting the signatures of the cit
izens of Seward who plan going to 1
the polls next month. The registra
tion has been slow but during the
last week has speeded up some. It 1
is hoped a record vote will be cast
at this election but first comes
registration. 1
The Admiral Evans, of the Pa
cific Steamship company, is ex
pected to arrive in port tomor
row night from the south, accord
ing to the local report.

South easterners, but it will be dis
appointing indeed to the followers
of the popular sport here if the
I Petersburg boys do not show their
