The bridegroom is well known in Fairbanks having spent nearly his whole life there. He graduated from the Fairbanks high school about seven years ago and attend ed the Alaska College. From Hope, G. Wilson Davies writes the Gateway to inform the many friends of William Gran ville Jack (G. Wilson Jack) that he cr.'■sea the Divide in San Fran ricco rn December 18, 1928. Mr. Jack was one of the oldtimers of Sunrise, and one of the original locators of Crow creek. He was 65 years old and has scores of friends in Seward and throughout this district in general. The San Francisco Examiner of December 19, published the fol lowing about the well known sour dough of the North: Victim of a sudden heart attack, William Gran ville Jack, manager of the Land Department of the Pacific Gas and Electric Company, died at his home early yesterday. OIIARLES CROUSE SUCCUMBS Charles Crouse, who will be well remembered by many oldtimers in |Alaska, died recently in Rupert, Idaho, where he had made his home since November 1913. Death was caused by cancer of the stom ach from which Mr. Crouse had suffered five years. He had been confined to bed for several months nrior to his death. f ___ I VOTERS FOR COMING ELECTION, APRIL 2 i he -qualifications of voters fo* the city election which takes place on April 2, next Tuesday, are these: Every person 21 years of age who is a -citizen of the United States and who has resided in the Ter ritory continuously for one year next preceeding the election and. within the limits of the city for six months preceeding the election, shall be qualified to vote. All voters are required to regis ter and registration, in the book at the city clerk's office, will close to morrow night at 10 o’clock. Again: . tomorrow is the last day for reg istration and from present indica tions all registration records will be shattered for overnight interest ( in the election has burst into fiame with the filing of 10 candidates for the various offices. Unless one registers they cannot vote on April 2.
