NOTICE OF SALE OF REAL ESTATE FOR DELINQUENT TAXES, CITY OF SEWARD ALASKA FOR THE YEAR 1928. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That by virtue of that certain Order of the District Court of the Territory of Alaska, Third Division, made and entered on the 22nd day of June, 1929, in cause entitled “In t* e Matter of Application of the City of Seward, Alaska, a municipal Corporation, for an Order of Sale of Certain Real Property, to en force the Lien of Certain Delinquent Municipal Taxes for the the year 1928,” wherein it was ordered and directed that sale be made, in the manner provided by law of certain real estate situated within the corporate limits of said Municipality of Seward, Alas ka, to satisfy and discharge the lien of certain municipal taxes, penalties, interests and costs, unpaid thereon; and, in compliance j with the terms and provisions of a duly and regularly adopted Resolution of the Common Council of the Town of Seward, Alas ka, duly approved by the Mayor of said city, wherein the time i and place for the holding of the said sale of real estate was \ duly fixed, and notice thereof ordered to be made in the news paper therein designated by said Common Council. NOW THEREFORE, I, A. D. BALDERSTON, Municipal Clerk of the City of Seward, Alaska, under and by direction of the Mayor and Common Council of said Town of Seward, hereby give notice that I will, on the 7th day of August, 1J929, in the Town Hall in Seward, ! i commencing at the hour of 10 o'clock in the forenoon, continuing i until the hour of 4 o'clock in the afternoon, and if sale be not ! completed on said day, continuing from day to day thereafter, be tween the hours above stated and designated, over Sundays and holidays, until the property described in this Notice of Sale is i disposed of, sell and offer for sale, at public auction, to the highest ! bidder, for cash, all the following specifically described tracts | and parcels of real estate, situated within the corporate limits of the City of Seward, Seward Recording Precinct, Third Judicial Di vision of the Territory of Alaska, for the purpose of satisfying I and discharging the lien of delinquent taxes for the year 1928 ac crued therein, together with penalties, interest and costs; That each lot, tract or parcel of real estate hereinafter enumerat- 1 ed and scheduled will be offered for sale and separately sold; That no bid will be entertained for any several and specific tract j or parcel of real estate for an amount less thn the total amount I of delinquent tax, penalty, interest and costs, accrued thereon, and if sufficient is not bid to discharge the amount due thereon, the same will be bid in by the Municipal Clerk, for and on behalf of the City of Seward; That in case any purchaser, at said sale, shall fail to pay in cash for any tract or parcel bid on by such purchaser, such tract or i parcel of real estate will be re-sold before the completion of the ! tax sale; That all real property sold at said sale is subject to redemption within the period of two years from date of such sale; That Certificate of Sale will be issued in due and proper form as by-law provided; That the schedule, itemized list and enumeration published here with is made a part of this Notice of Sale, and states the descrip tion of several and specific tract or parcel of real property, subject to this advertised sale, on which the tax for the year 1928 has not , been paid, the amount of such tax, penalty, interest and costs due I < thereon, and to whom assessed. * |, A. (JP) — Edward Cruse, 86 year-old negro, s who said he belonged to the Cruses of Halifax, Va., before the | Civil war, owes $950 back ali mony at the rate of $5 a week. Cora, his exwife, said he had been delinquent for years in pay ments. The judge ordered Cruse to pay the $950 in monthly in stallments of $10 each. He will be 98 years old at the expira tion of his payments. For the past week i members of the organization have | been working hours decorating the hall in a blaze of color and the orchestra has been practicing for two weeks.
