Nine patrol planes, with a to tal personnel of 54 men, made the 840-mile trip without a stop in 11 hours and 20 minutes. The entire distance was covered in a V formation from the Pearl Harbor station as a part of the mimic war mission. The home base was., reported to every 20 minutes by radio.
