DeBolt, of the Seward Public Schools, today received word that the Cordova basketball team was to leave Anchorage at noon j today by airplane and were to be flown direct to Cordova. The Cor dova team had planned to play a series of games with Seward but they were marooned in Anchorage for so long a time that it was thought best to call the Seward series off. Prof. DeBolt announces, that the Seward High School Ath- I letic Association will redeem thej money for all the tickets which were sold for the series. HOTEL IMPROVEMENTS Mel Horner, manager of the Overland Hotel and able assistants are engaged in making alterations and improvements of the halls and rooms of his hotel preparatory to paper hanging and painting the interior of the building. Much of the furniture has already new coats of varnish. New rugs will be placed on the floors of the halls and in many of the rooms.
