The Deutche Zeitung has de manded the resignation of the officials who were alleged to have been responsible for the poor show ing of Geifnan athletes i n the games. One of these was Theodore Wm., Laward and another Carl Diem. The newspapers claimed that the money invested in training the team could have been invested to greater ad vantage in military training for German youths. BRAZIL TELEGRAPH SERVICE, GOOD RESULTS RIO de JANEIRO, August 18 — Lower taxation and consolidations made by the government regard ing telegraph service has shown admirable results here with ad ministrative departments of 19 national telegraph stations show ing an increase of approximately $137,000 only.
