ON RETIREMENT LIST The Alaska Railroad river steam ers Alice and Jacobs, veterans of the Yukon and Tanana, were scheduled to go on the Nenana marine ways this week where, it is thought, they may end their days in rest unless purchased by inde puent concerns willing to take a chance on Interior transportation. The vessels are to be replaced in the spring by a new steamer now under construction at Nenana. The tail-end of the crews a,re scheduled to arrive in Seward this week en route to the states.
