New capital would be used to in crease mill capacity by 50 percent and to make other changes so as to reduce operating costs. In Mr. Austin’s opinion these changes would result in putting the mine on a paying basis. Preparations are being made by Pacific Alaska Airways for inaugu ration of service under winter air mail contracts. That company has I all the contracts previously held by Alaskan Airways and Pacific International Airways. In the In terior the routes lead from Nenana down the Yukon, from Nenana to the Kuskokwim and Iditarod and from Fairbanks to the Yukon. There are also three routes out of Anchorage.
