General Situation—The weather chart showed a center of minimum air pressure of approximately 29.25 inches near latitude 54 degrees and west longitude 151 degrees, moving eastward. Otherwise the barometer stood high generally over the northeast Pacific ocean with the center of maximum air pressure 30.45 inches near latitude 30 degrees and west longitude 140 degrees.
