Among the recent new members to join the local Bureau of Public Roads crew, now numbering more than 30 men. are Carl Rodfji and Oscar Hodle, champion road buil ders from Jack Ebing’s Moose Pass crew. Mrs. Nell Hewitt, wife of Denny, proprietor of “Hewitt’s” at Anchor age. was a southbound passenger Wednesday on the SS Northwest ern. Mrs. Hewitt has long been one of Anchorage’s leading pianists and a feature player on KFQD pro grams. she was called to Seattle on account of the death of her father. RESCUED FROM TUNNEL FAIRMONT. W.
