Derrickson last week were: Mr. and Mrs. William Parkhurst of Dagsboro and Miss Connie James of milsboro, Mrs. E. P. Godfrey of Millsly>ro and Mr. and Mrs. Elton Lynch of Lincoln. * Mrs. George Metschl left on Tues day to visit friends in Rego Park, Flushing and New York, and will return with her daughter, Miss Rose Marie Metschl and Mr. and Mrs. George Funk of Rego Park. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Spicer visited friends on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. James L. Webb entertained guests from Marcus Hook and Chester, Pa., last week. Mrs. Hazel Ellingsworth and Mrs. William O. Holloway and daughter, Kathy, of Ellendale spent last week in New York, as Mrs. Holloway and daughter sailed for Vienna, Austria, to join Sgt. William O. Holloway U. S. Army, stationed there. Mrs. J. Rowland Tyndall of Lewes, ac companied them to New York, and returned home on Sunday. Mrs. Holloway was Miss Shirley Lea Ellingsworth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac W. Ellingsworth of Ellendale, and will remain in Eu rope at least two years. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Transeau have purchased the Reed property on Washington Ave. and will occupy same in the near future, after having same remodeled. Mr and Mrs. Jones Ellingsworth have purchased a Mercury. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Warren and' son. were callers in George town recently. Mr. and Mrs. E. Gorlich and family motored to Rehoboth last! week Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Sammons and daughters were callers of Mrs. Bayard Messick of Milton last week, Miss Nila Macklin has been spend ing a few weeks at home here. „ Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Morris of Houston were guests of Mrs. Sara McIIvain on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Millman en tertained guests during the week end. Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Ellingsworth were Sunday callers of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin A. Evans of Lewes and motored to Rehoboth. Miss Betty Elingsworth of Phila delphia spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Ellingsworth.
