Abbott, Sr., are now occupying their home on Washington Ave., Ellendale, Del. Little Miss Charlotte Ann Willey of Milford, Delaware, who is now residing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Willey on Main Street was given a fried chicken dinner with ice cream and cake Friday evening. May 28th, in honor of her 7th birthday. Mrs. Sallie Stokes of Milford was Wednesday evening caller of Mrs. Frances Wilson. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dickerson and daughter of Wilmington, Del., were Sunday guests of Mr. Ervin Coverdale ami sou Raymond, and all enjoyed a rip to Lincoln to visit relatives ami friend and also to Slaughter Beach. Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Ellingsworth entertained guests last week. Mr. and Mrs. John B. Derrickson were Sunday callers of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Williams of Clarks ville, Delaware. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Wilson on Memorial Day, Major and Mrs. Ed J. Mika and three sons of Falls Church, Virginia, Mrs. John Hamilton of Philadelphia, Pa., Mr. Robert Phillips and Mrs. J. M. Dick erson of Bridgeville, Del. Mr. and Lester Shockley visited friends on Monday evening. * Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Tucker and daughters. Bonnie and Sandy, had a delightful Memorial Day trip. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Messick of Miltord were callers in town during the week-end Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Timmons, Sr., spent the holidays at their home in Rehohoth Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Ireland were callers in Ocean City. Maryland, last week On Thursday evening. May 27th Mrs. Reuben Hearn was given a surprise birthday party at her home on Willow Street. Guests were Mrs. Pauline Daniels. Mrs. Grace Snow den, Mrs. Madclyn Evans, of Mil ford. Delaware, and Mrs. Norma Beebe of Ellendale. A beautiful birthday cake and refreshments were served and Mrs. Hearn re ceived lovely gifts. On Friday evening, May 28th, Mr. Harvey Wilson was guest of honor at a surprise birthday party ar ranged for him hy his wife. Mr. Wilson was the recipient of many lovely gifts which he opened in the presence of relatives and friends who wore guests. Delicious refreshments served and all had a delightful evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wootten and daughter, Karen Leu. and Mrs. El wood Lynch, were Sunday guests of Rev. and Mrs. James O'Neil of Ingleside, Md ., Rev. O'Neil had the honor of baptising his grand daughter, Little Miss Karen Lea Wootten at the morning service. Funeral services were held at the Berry Funeral Home. Milford, on Salnr day afternoon. May 22nd at 2 o'clock. Rev. Olin Shockley, pastor of the Ellendale Methodist Church, Ellendale. officiated. Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Milton, Delaware. Mr. Workman is survived hy two sisters. Mrs. Bessie Canfield, Ellen dale; Mrs. Horace Frank, Baldwin, Long Island, New York; three brothers, Walter Workman and John C. Workman, both of Pliila delphia, Pa., and Alfred Workman of Wilmington.
