Mayor Homan was the guest speaker for the day. He gave a short Informal talk greeting mem bers. Mrs. Martha Pancoast, Jr., club president presented the plans, programs and chairmen for the coming year. The schedule featured many outstanding programs on topics such as Flower Arranging, Child Health, the United Nations, and also Included a drama pre sentation s by the Kent County Theatre Guild. Mrs. Pancoast also reported on the meetings she attended during the summer months and the club work done daring this time. Mrs. Earl Field entertained the group with several vocal selections after which a reception was planned for members. Door hostesses for the day were Mrs. WlHiam C. Holden and Mrs. Frederick Owen. Since that time they have declined about live per cent. The greatest decline in land values is in the mountain states and the states in the drought areas. Colorado showed the greatest drop of 22 per cent, with Idaho and New Mexico each down 17 per cent. Many of the eastern seaboard states show declines ranging from two to six per cent. Voluntary sales of farm real estate declined during the year. Or are the extra amounts limited only to married veterans? A—It would be possible to ob tain the higher rate of QI allow ance if you are supporting your parents, and are single. They will have to HU out a VA form, "State ment of Dependency," which may pe obtained at any VA office. A very pleasant evening was enjoyed by all present. William Isaac Cirwithen passed away in Lansdowne. Pa., Thurs day morning last. He had passed his 90th year. Funeral services were held in the church, here, Sun day afternoon at 2:00, with inter ment in the cemetery adjoining. His daughter, Mrs. Joseph W. E. Harrison and family and relatives from Lansdowne, Pa„ attended. Also relatives and friends from this vicinity. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Weischedel entertained relatives from Balti more, Md„ the past week-end. They were Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Trav ers and daughter, Lucille.
