D. C, ACCEPTED WAGE REDUCTION. Milford, April 14.—The SV. G. Abbott and the Vineyard shipbuilding compa nies, have been forced to make new wage schedules. In which a general cent reduction has been made in all salaries. All but one of the employes incepted the new schedule and have been working steadily since it into affect. The examinations showed that about 90 per cent of the children had some minor physical defects which could be easily remedied if treatment la given immediately. The largest percentage of defect seems to bo in the teeth, with defective vision a close second ; enlarged tonsils and adenoids, a share.
