SPRINKLER ON

DEMONSTRATION LASTING FOR
SEVERAL MINUTES WHEN THE
SPRINKLING WAGON MADE ITS
FIRST APPEARANCE ON THE
THOROUGHFARE
A demonstration something out of
the ordinary was that of yesterday
afternoon when > one ot the city
sprinkling wagons visited Tarragona
street and sprinkled that thorough
fare At first those having business
along that street remained silent
thinking possibly the driver had
made an error but when they saw
that he had not cheering and whist
ling and calls of 4Whose paying for
it drowned the noise of the puffing
and rumbling engines and cars in
the vicinity of the Union depot
Numbers of persons almost desert
ed their places of business and some
even went so far as to jump on the
wagon for a ride all the while cheer
ing and giving vent to their joy
