Dr. H. C. Buchholz, who ha Just completed a very successful series of revival meetings at the First Bap tUt church in Pensacola. will leave a the steamer Manteo tomorrow for Uew Orleans. "What do you think of Pensacola, as compared with other cities of like bIm?" asked a Journal representative of Dr. Buehholz yesterday. MI am favorably impressed with it," wpHed the doctor. "Upon catching sight of Pensacola. two weeks ago, 1 was agreeably disappointed. The Pensacola of old. with its unpaved . streets, its sandy walks, and almost Impassable ways seems to be a thing of the past and you have practically a new city, witn modern improve ments and methods of transportation. There Is a hustle about the place which Elves it a metropolitan air. I think that I can detect something of the Atlanta spirit of Push. I am glad to see efforts at beautlflcatlon. The plots of grass, the rows of palms. In the center of the streets, as on Palafox in the vicinity of the San Carlos, is an earnest of what will probably be done in other sections of the city, ana a persistent enorc in this direction will make it one of the most attractive cities in the South J'or a city of your size, you have some of the best office buildings to t found anywhere. The American Bank building, the Blount, the Brent ' and the Thlesen buildings are struc tures of which any city may be proud. And the San Carlos la superior to jntny hotel In our larger American cities." Pensaeola't Great Future. "What do you think of the future cf Pensacola?" he was asked. - T sup nose you have reference to It commercial future. Well.' said Dr. BuchhoTx, "it Is brighter than the brightest dreams of fancy. To the ancient cltiaenship it may appear ehlmerical, in that it has waited long and In vain, but to the observant man there can be but one conclusion, name. it. that Pensacola is bound to be city of 100,000 people In the near fu tur. , And an 4ntelliKnt. vigorous. and persistent attempt by a board of trade or a similar organization, to fet forth the advantages and future Of tne city wui greauy acoeuerai tms comlne prosperity. Your worst ene mies are the idos backs, the carping critics, and those who talk against their own town, and declare It to be dead. But, In spite of this draw back, like a fast growing boy, whom .you cannot keep from growing, noth r ing can interfere with the destined ' growth and prosperity of Pensacola. The party numbered about half a ddzen and they arrived In this city Monday afternoon and registered at the Ban Carlos hotel. After the name of each of the party was "C. of G. R. R." However, no information concerning their connection with the roaror their business here was obtainable from them, although newspaper reporters made repeated, efforts to Interview some of the party. SHOULD PLACE L BOXES POSTOFFICE DEPARTMENT WILL ASK FAMILIES TO ARRANGE SOME PLACE WHERE MAIL CAN BE PLACED SO AS TO FACILI TATE DELIVERY. Within a few days circular letters will be distributed by postofflce car riers sent out by the postofflce depart ment requesting the public to place a mail box or some suitable receptaele at a convenient location at tbeir homes for for the reception of mail matter. This step Is being taken In order to facilitate the delivery of mail, and lf the public will do as requested a better and more prompt service will be the result. Many residents unintentionally delay mall carriers, and each of these slight delays causes a loss of several hours each day. If boxes are placed the car rier can save this time and handle the mail of his route much quicker and more satisfactorily. This arrangement is a decided improvement as the spec tators are not compelled to await the renewal of the game after the rest period is up for there is always some thing doing. " Tonight's games should be fast and clean, for last week the Real Estates just did maifage to win from the Rex alls In overtime and the Car-wl-cos had to extend themselves to beat the Alagas, and tonight both the losers and winners hook up.
