SYNOPSIS.
CHAPTER I Phillip Kelvin, accom
panied by his negro bodyguard, Sam,
Invades Wall street with $2,000,000 in
a dress suit case1 and begins selling
stocks, going short 4,000 shares dally.
He meets Rensselaer, an old comrade.
II They call upo Elsie White and her
poverty stricken family. Elsie appar
ently loves Phillip. Broker Galleon
warns Kelvin he will be ruined, but
Kelvin continues to sell stocks. Ill
Velvin tells Wall street magnates that
a billion dollars of actual currency has
been withdrawn from circulation by
Henry Breed's bread trust. The c8"
corner causes a panic In stocks.
Banker Pellman endeavors to pee
Breed.

the Immense bakery system which

at such a price that families could not
. afford to buy it and that opposing
bakeries were forced out of business.
