I'PHOriE 4 I i 38 ALUMNI BANQUET BRILLIANT AFFAIR AT THE SAN CARLOS Bright comradeship and ga.y good will were the distinguLshlnKT features of the annual banquet of the. alumni association of the Fensacola, hif?h school last r.igrht in the main cafe of th San Carlos hotel. A long table stretching the full lnrth of the dining room accommo dated the banqueters. The hour of the festivity -was elprht o'clock and before the 'banquet a rfr cption committee from the alumni greeted the ruests on the mezzanine. This committee comprised Mrs. Chas. Mayes of San Dlepo, California, of the first class to sradtiate from the high sohool. Mr. William TyJer of the fac ulty, Ir. Bertram Dannheisser. Misses Occie Clubbs, Ada White. Paula Herschkovttz. Blmyra Richard!, Vera Green and Florida Wedte. A pretty oompBmerrt to the new members of the as?ociation. the grad- , uating cla-ss were the appointments of the table. The class colors, pink and white, were used, and the table centered with a mound of pink roses. A single roso was given as a fa.vor and the place cards were daintily dec orated with roses. Dr. Bertram Dannheisser acted fl toastmaster and responses were made by Mrs. Mayes, Miss White, Mr. Quin tln Borra.s, Miss Vera. Green, Miss Goldine Jacoby, Miss Jodie Sullivan and Miss Dorothy Osgood. Mr. B. B. Lane, principal of the high school for the past year was guest of honor at the banquet. Mr. Jane has ma.de himself universally popular with the student body and the alumni and the choice was a happy one. Covers were laid for Mr. Tane, Mr. Crary. Mr. Brawner, Mr. Edwards and Mr. Hays of the school board. In the same class Frank Salmon also completed two grades in the year, but with not quite ! so high an average.
