There's the loose-fitting, straight lined coat, pleated skirt, saucy hat all striped, of course. 'Mme. Golden Smith of the Fashion Art League of America, fashioned this original model of yellow and white striped crepe de chine and oyster col or shantung, but it would be equally smart and more wearable if made in ' some cotton fabric or linen. CATHERINE'S GUILD. Mrs. R. E. L. Daniels was hostess yesterday afternoon to the members of St. Catherine's Guild, her home re fleeting a bright spirit of hospitality, with a profusion of fragrant, delicate ly tinted sweet peas uted about the rooms, and a daintily served course consisting of Bulgarian punch, straw berries and cream, and cake served after the business meeting. The officers of the Giild comprise Mrs. N. B. Thomas, president; Mrs. Crona, vice president; Mrs. Daniels, secretary, and Mrs. C. B. McGill, treasurer. A committee was appointed for an entertainment which is to be given at an early date, those serving being FLOWERS FOR MOTHERS' DAY. Many of the churches and Sunday schools in the city are planning to celebrate Mothers' Day. But it is not only in its public observance, but in the home, where Mother's influ ence is exerted, whether she be still the heart of the family circle or whether her blessed spirit hovers near, to bless, that Mothers' Pay is most sacred. A reader of The Journal has sug gested that a misunderstanding pre vails in regard to the flower worn on Mothers' Day, and for thic reason the florists have much trouble in fill ing orders. While the white carna tion, is the flower which was originally chosen as sacred to that day, it has come to be an accepted custom to use colored flowers for the mother who is with us, and the white blossoms in memory of her who has gone be fore. Or, as one poet puts it: For Mother at home, flowers bright For Mother's memory, flowers white, FEEL BILIOUS? CALOMEL SICKEIIS! CLEAII LIVER AND BOWELS MI WAY DONT LOSE A DAY'S WORK I IF CONSTIPATED, SLUGGISH, HEADACHY, TAKE A SPOONFUL OF "DODSON'S LIVES TONE." Listen to me ! Take no more sick ening, salivating calomel when bilious or constipated. Dont lose a day's work I Calomel is mercury or quicksilver which causes necrosis of the bones. Calomel, when it comes into contact with sour bile crashes into it, break ing it up. This is when you feel that awful nausea and cramping. If you are sluggish and "all knocked out," if your liver is torpid and bowels con stipated or you have headache, dizzi ness, coated tongue, if breath is bad or stomach sour just take a spoonful of harmless Dodson's Liver Tone. Here's my guarantee Go to any drug store and get a 50 cent bottle of Dodson's Liver Tone. Take a spoon ful tonight and if it doesn't straighten you right up and make you feel fine and vigorous by mornin? I want you to go back to the store and get your money. jJodson s Liver Tone is de stroying the sale of calomel because it is real liver medicine; entirely vegetable, therefore it can not sali vate or make you sick. 1 guarantee that one spoonful of T 3 , rrt ... .uouson s jiver a one win put your sluggish liver to work and clean your bowels of that sour bilo and consti pated waste which is clogging your system and making you feel miser able. I guarantee that a bottle of Dodson's Liver Tone will keep your entire family feeling fino for months. Give it to your children. It is harm less; doesn't gripe and they like its pleasant taste. Adv.
