SENATE COMMITTEE
REVISES TAX BILL

finance committee in revising the war
tax bill decided on the imposition of
new "floor" taxes upon stocks of
sugar, coffee, tea and cocoa A reduc
tion from fifteen to ten per cent in
the proposed tax on undivided sur
plus corporations and joint stock
companies associations and it is
planned to complete the bill Satur
day. Debate will begin next week.
