It is not quite fair to tell you the story, so we would suggest that you see "On the Level" when it comes to the Isis theater tomorrow. Bill Desmond Makes A Splendid Yale Athlete "BIT1, you are a Yale athlete," said Director Frank Borzage on the morn ing that he presented the script of "Flying Colos," which comes to the Isis Monday, to William Desmond, the smiling Irish star. "At least that is the part Lynch and Smith have written for you." "I never performed in the Yale Bowl," replied Desmond with a broad smile, "but I have a few little stunts of my own that may muster as com ing from the dear old college " The rest of that day Desmond en tertained the company with stunts of pole-vaulting, hurdling and a hundred yard dash. Garfield, widow of the president assassinated by a political crank, is intensely interested in the country's war work, despite the fact that she is seriously ill at her home here. One of her sons, Dr. Harry A. Gar field, national fuel administrator, re cently was called to his mother's bed side. Several of her grandsons are serving with the United States in the persent war. She gives them to her country just as patriotically as she did her bridegroom husband back in the days when James A.
