PENSACOLA DEFEATS CUSHNOCS
2 TO 1 IN
The Pensacola Regulars defeated the
Cushnocs from' the Pensacola Ship
building plant 2 to 1 at Maxent Park
yesterday afternoon in one of the best
games of baseball seen on a local dia
mond this year. The Shipbuilders lost
-the game in the fifth inning when Bell
" threw away Bonlfay's short roller, Bor
vdem and Weber scoring on the play.
. Hartman held the Regulars to three
hits while Bonifay was touched for
.nine, which were well scattered, how
ever. The attendance was about 500.
" The game, play by play:
First inning Wentworth was out,
Bagin to Davis. Man Mat re larded
on Hartman's first offering for a long
foul to left and after spoiling four other
good balls went out, McVoy to Davis.
llcVoy dropped Brown's high foul.
Brown then fanned. . Ho hits, no runs,
no errors. t
Kagin was out on ah easy grounder
to Shelton. Graham's short roller was
handled, Bonifay to Shelton. Grogan
fanned. Ho hits, no runs, no errors.
Second Inning Hungerford was out,
Graham to Davis. Shelton filed to Ea
gin. Borders fanned. Bell dropped the '
ball, but Borders was out. Bell to Da
vis. No hits, no runs, no errors.
Houk fouled to Hungerford. McVoy
singled through short and was ' out

fly, recovered it and tossed to Brown.
