WEBB-HUTCH IN SON WEDDING IS CELEBRATED AT HOME OF BRIDE. A wedding of unusual interest and unusual beauty was that uniting Miss Eulalie Hutchinson and Dr. Carol Webb. The ceremony was performed last night at 7 o'clock by the Rev. I. W. Chalker, of the First Methodist church, at the home' of the bride's brother, Ir. and Mrs. Clarence Hutch inson. - ' '- ' . ; : Th home was beautifully decorated with palms, ferns smilax and chrys anthemums. The sacred ceremony was fittingly solemnized at the altar banked in palms and ferns and light ed by the soft glow of candles of the seven-branched candelabra pedestalled on each side of the altar. The bride entered on the arm of her brother. She made a typical pic ture of bridal loveliness in simply fashioned gown of white satin trim med in pearls with court train, and band-fastened tulle veil with orange blossoms. She 'carried a shower bou quet of bride roses and valley lillies. Her maid ' of honor. Miss Gretchen Hutchinson, wore a flesh colored geor gette dress with broad flesh colored sash, lace and rosbud trimmed. She carried an arm bouquet of pink rose buds tied with flesh colored tulle. MrsClarence Hutchinson, matron of honor, wore pale yellow georgette silver lace trimmed over flesh colored satin with flesh colored girdle. Her bouquet 'was1 of yellow chrysanthe mums. Mrs. W. C. Dillard, also matron of honor, wore pale blue georgette with pink and blue girdle and carried pink chrysanthemums. The two little flower girls, Mary Jane Hutchinson and Mary Eulalie Saunders were dressed alike in - the daintiest of hand-made white batiste dresses exquisitely embroidered. They carried baskets of pink rosebuds. The four little white f rocked ribbon bearers were Leontine Turner, Ann Bullock, Katherine Sandusky and Mattie May McMillan, Ir. M. E. Quina served as best man and Mrs. J. Wallace Lamar with the violin, Mrs. J. F. Sandusky, vocal ist, and Miss Marguerite Roberts at the piano, furnished the wedding music. The musical program included "Silent as Night," by Bohm, sung by Mrs. Sandusky: "For You Alone," by Goehl, sung by Mrs. Sandusky and accompanied on the violin hy Mrs. Lamar; ...Leybach's "Nocturne," as a violin solo. The Lohengrin wedding march was followed by "My Heart at Thy Sweet Voice, softly played dur ing the ceremony. No wedding cards had been Issued, but an informal reception for which invitations had been sent, was held after the ceremony. Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Webb, of Columbus, phio, parents of the- groom; Miss Salome Syfan, of Gulfport; Mrs. Ter rell Williams, of Milton; Miss Ella Creary Thompson, of Bagdad, and Miss Bess Harbeson, of DeFuniak Springs. . Miss Hutchinson has an unusually wide circle of I devoted friends. She is the possessor of an excellent soprano voice, and a graduate of the Con servatory of Music at Cincinnati. Ehr. Webb has Just recently been re leased from the navy, where he served as a lieutenant in the medical corps. He was stationed at the Pensacola naval air station for, about a year and during the influenza epidemic ren dered voluntary services with the emergency relief of the Red Cross. . After a short wedding trip rr. and Mrs. Webb will go to Columbus, Ohio, to make their home. The fact that their home is to be Columbus rather than Pensacola is the occasion for very real regret among Pensacola peo ple, who can only be glad that their loss is Columbus' gain. WOMEN OF FIRST PRESBYTE RIAN CHURCH CALLED. All the women of the First Presby terian church are urged to attend a meeting ' in the lecture room of the church this, afternoon at 4 o'clock. The purpose , of the meeting Is the election of officers for the women's auxiliary, a society merging all the other women's societies of the church. The general assembly advocates this move and the committee has adopted a constitution. Every woman of the church is considered a member of the auxiliary, and is expected to . be active as such. EPWORTH LEAGUE OF FIRST METHODIST CHURCH The Epworth League of the First Methodist church will hold its regu lar meeting tonight at 7:30 In .the lecture room. A devotional service will " precede the social hour, and all members and Interested friends are cordially invited to attend. MISS ROBINSONHAlRMAN OF PUBLICITY COMMITTEE Y. W. C. A. ; Miss Celia Robinson has accepted the chairmanship of the publicity committee of the Y. W. C. A. for the state of Florida. Miss ; Robinson has had wide , experience in publicity work and her assistance in the work will be of great value to the movement. RETURNED FROM EXTENDED AUTO TRIP. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Scofield have returned to Pensacola after making a tour of the southeastern states by automobile. The trip was , delightful lespite the bad weather on- the return, and included a visit to Washington, X. C From Washington -Mr. and Mrs. Scofield went on to Cumberland, Md. Corbett O'Neil is expected to arrive this morning at 9:45 o'clock. Her visit will be the first received by a state deputy and the reception com mittee will be composed of the grand regents of the . order. Miss Mary Malpney was the first of these, fol lowed by Mrs. John M. Hilliard, Mrs. Pat McHugh, Mrs. F. L. Bowen and Mrs. Ed. Anderson, the present re gent.
