Miss Bennie McMillan of Brewton, and Mr. William D. Wilkinson of this city, were married at the home of the bride in Brewton, Wednesday noon. The Rev. I. W. Chalker performing the ceremony. The home was prettily dec orated in cut flowers and ferns. . Mrs. Wilkinson, as Miss McMillan, was a very popular young woman of Brewton, and has many friends that wish her much happiness. Mr. Wil kinson is at present living in Wilcox, Ala., being connected with the Jen nings Naval Stores, and also has many friends who wish him happiness. Mr. and Mrs. Wilkinson are in Pensacola a few days enroute to their home in Wilcox. The out-of-town wedding guests were: Mr. Dan Wilkinson, father of the groom; Mr. Jos. Robert Duncan and Rev. I. W. Chalker, of Pensacola; and Mr. and Mrs. McPhajl, brother and sister of the groom from Mont gomery. CHARITY BALL AND BAZAAR TO BE GIVEN AT KEYSER AUDITORIUM. There will be a chairity ball and bazaar at the Keyser Auditorium, Wednesday evening, April 14. which promises to be an event of importance and interest. In order to raise funds for the war stricken orphans of the Near East, the Federation of Jewish, Charities of this city have banded together to do their ibit, and possibly never in the history of Jewish charitable activity has there been more deliberate ef fort made to "help oat. In New York alone the Federation of Jewish Charities have sent two boat loads of flour to the Near East, which has been distributed to all creeds in need of sustenance. The charity ball and Ba zaar, Wednesday evening, is to help this fund along. i$ EG AN -TAYLOR. Of much cordial interest in Pensa cola, is news of the marriage of Miss Margaret Hardin Taylor of Gallatin, and Mr. Patrick Eagan of this city, the wedding having taken place at the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. W. P. Buchanan, in Lebabon, Tenn., last Monday. The Rev. A. B. Buchanan officiated, and the wedding took place In the presence of a few relatives and friends. Mrs. Eagan will be a charming ad dition to Pensacola society. She does not come to Pensacola as a stranger, but has many friends here, having visited last winter1 as the guest of her cousin, Mrs. Harry Ferris. Mr. Eagan has many . friends who are cangratu lating him, and wishing him and his bride much future happiness. MRS. FRIEND ENTERTAINS FOR MRS. LLOYD. Complimenting her sister, Mrs. Alice Lloyd who left for her home in Boston yesterday, Mrs. William Friend en tertained at Five-Hundred, Wednes day evening at her home, 815 N. 16th ave. After the game, the hostess served delicious refreshments of creamed chicken, cake and coffee. Those enjoying the evening were: Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Day, Mr. and Airs. Arthur Pfeiffer, Mrs. W. D. Tuesday, Mrs. William Friend en tertained the Card Club of which her sister, Mrs. Alice Lloyd has been a member during her visit here this winter, at a card party and luncheon. cards were played and at 1 o'clock a beautifully appointed luncheon was served. The members of the club pre sented as a parting gift to Mrs. Lloyd a pretty cut glass perfume bottle. Those In the club enjoying Mrs. Friend's hospitality were: Mrs. E. A. Mrs. Annie Belford and Mr. Joe L Jones were quiefly marqied in the presence of the immediate families, at the home of the bride, 309 E. Gadsden st, Tuesday evening. Rev. Minor J. Ross of the First Christian church performing the . ceremony. Mr. and Mrs.- Jones have many friends who will be interested in the announcement of their marriage, and extend to them the best of wishes for a happy married life. Wednesday afternoon was made happy for the ladies of the Woman's Home, when the "Samljacks" a group of Community Service girls, went to see them, taking milk chocolate and fruit. Music, singing and reading were enjoyed by the ladies, as well as the girls themselves. Miss Nell Burrows and Miss Bertha Litchten and Mr. Abernathy of Jthe Community Service accompanied "" the girls to the home. a- KNOX PRESBYTERIAN ENDEAVORERS TO MEET. The Christian Endeavor Society of the Knox Presbyterian church will hold an important business meeting at 7:30 o'clock this evening. All mem bers are urged to be present.
