A court in Chicago last week decided thait the liberal Jewish • weekly, the Sentinel, damaged the repu tation of men who are pro-fascists and professional anti-Sem ites to the tune of men and what they stand lor: Lawrence Dennis, one-time head v/i of the American Fas- Williams, for mer leader of the American Destiny Party; J. Parker Sage. Detroit propagandist; E. A. Deatherage, organ izer of the notorious Knights of the White Camellia. One of the complainants in the case against the Sentinel was Mrs. Elizabeth Dilling. The next time she appears in v court, it will be against the Chicago Star—in a $500,000 libel suit. And the Our Town 14 Pop Dearborn 5 Radio 15 Sports 19 U.S. news roundup 8 World news roundup ... 12 decision against the Sentinel has now emboldened Mrs. Dilling and the whole pro-fascist wolf-pack. The decision against the Sentinel is a blow struck against all who believe in and are fighting for democracy. It is a foretaste of what's in store for The Star and all who oppose fascism— if The Sentinel case must sound the alarm! Court costs alorjg in the Sentinel case already have run into many thous ands of dollars. Thus far about $2,000 has been sent in for our Dollars Against Dilling fund. Much more is needed. Star readers who have not yet an swered their letters or sold Fighting Fund stamps can help greatly by send ing in their money without delay.
