Sumrall, Miss., May 5.—A very dis
astrous fire occurred here at 3 o'clock
this morning in which the entire stock
of the Batten Grocery Company was
destroyed.
The cause of the fire is not known,
but it is believed to be the work of in
cendiaries, as a back door and win
dow were found broken open.
