Covington and Jeff Davis.

Any person in good standing residing in the territory above
named may enter the contest, or may be nominated by any per
son living in this territory.
Votes will not be sold outright and will only be credited
bona fide subscriptions.
Votes are not transferable.
Employes of The Hattiesburg News are not eligible to com
pete in this contest.
Voting will be done by regular form of ballot, which will be
furnished all contestants and their friends.
Not more than one prize awarded to any one contestant.
The party winning the capital prize forfeits her right to win
any other prize to be awarded.
In the distribution of the District prizes the persons receiv
ing the largest number of votes will have their choice of any of
the District prizes; the next largest number of votes will have
second choice, and so on until all the prizes are awarded in each
District.

DISTRICTS
There are six Districts in all in which prizes will be awarded.
The City of Hattiesburg comprises Districts Nos. 1 and 2.
District No. 1 is all of that part of Hattiesburg lying north
of Main street.
District No. 2 is all of that part of Hattiesburg lying south
of Main street.
District No. 3 is all of the counties of Forrest, Perry, Greene,
Jackson and Harrison, outside of the City of Hattiesburg.
District No. 4 is all of the counties of Marion, Pearl River,
Pike, Lincoln, Hancock and Lamar.
District No. 5 is all of the counties of Jones. Wayne, Jasper,
Clarke, Newton and Lauderdale.
District No. 6 is all of the counties of Smith, Simpson, Law
rence, Scott, Covington and Jeff Davis.
This method gives the people of each District the op
portunity of securing the same prizes to be awarded in the two
Districts of this city.
(Where two articles are mentioned in three sections together the stx prizes included will
be given out as desired by the persoes in each District making the selections, according to
the •number of votes received.)
