VICKSBURG LIBRARY NOTES: The Etta O’UeUl library has been a busy place since school began, with both elementary and high school students using the library to do reference work in connection with their school as signments. In addition, the library is also serving a vast number of college students who commute daily to various near-by colleges. Modern education does not limit learning to textbooks alone. To day’s students are required to read a variety of books in order to understand the world about them, and in order to think clear ly on vital issues. For this reason, many students are calling upon the public library to supply them with supplementary reading on a variety of subjects. If you are a student seeking information to meet your educa tional needs outside your text books, you are invited to visit the Etta O’Neill Library. The library is open from 12:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday to accomodate stu dents doing reference work. However, in order to get a full share of the library’s many ser vices, a library card is required. Library cards are free, all that is necessary to secure a card is to fill out an application blank, which requires only a few min utes. Your library card is the answer to all your information needs.
