Lanier Stops Temple 21-6 By EUGENE HOUSTON JACKSON (Special) - The ' Lanied Bulldogs with a group of fast, blacking becks ran the Temple Buc ends to death and made off with a 21 to 6 victory here last night. Adams of Lanier, showed in stant speed in taking advantage of blocks and turned many com ers to start Lanier’s touchdown drives. Temple played an handicapped game as many Bucs were either benched ar playing with injuries. Still, Temple’s backfield gained recognition as backs Edward, Stampley, Nathaniel Truitt, Ben son Sims. James Knight, and QB Johnny Staples, dodged and fought for high yardage. However, each drive was handi capped by either fumbles or pen alties. The Bucs only tally came on a 79 yard drive with Knight going in far the T.D. Luckily the Bucs have an open date next week to nurse their many injuries. , mm—m——— read and well-infoirr.ed.
