Thompson, presiding During an interesting business session, plans were discussed for a new project to begir very soon and for an expand ed program of the council. September “Lawn of the Month” awards went from the Council to Mrs. Susie Mae Lee, 1307 Perkins Street, Zin nia Garden Club; Mrs. Fran ces M. Alexander, 1121 W Pascagoula Street, Lilac Arl Garden Club. Winners for Oc tober were: Mrs. Lillie Mae Breakfield, 1638 Cox Street Gardenia Garden Club; Mrs Betty Washington, 907 East view St., Pascagoula Streel Garden Club; Mrs. Hattie R Haskin, 1334 Perkins St., Zin nia Garden Club. Members present were Mesdames Velmj Peyton, Sadie Hendrick, An na Henderson, Vera H. GOOD SAMARITAN CLUB NO. 2 The Good Samaritan Clut No. 2 met in the home of Mrs Georgia Thames, 2656 Ran dolph Street, with Mrs. Jos sie Ellis and Mrs. James Spires acting Chaplain. The lesson was taught by Mrs James Spires and was greatlj enjoyed by all. Sharing the pleasure of this meeting were Mesdames Lizzie Griffin, A Wickerson, James Spires, Jos sie Ellis, D. Holden, Grace Adams, Georgia Thames Catherine Burse, Mr. Arthui Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. Henrj Stewart.
