morial service at the Wade Bap
tist cuhrch Sunday morning.
The pastor, the Rev. W. C. Wv
att, conducted the services At

shown of conditions in Greece.
People were shown receiving
their ration of clothing and food
with great thankfulness.
Friends of Mrs. J J. Davis, Sr.,
are sorry to hear of her illness.
The political rally given at the
school house Saturday night was
a great success.
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Bell of
Kreole were visitors of Mr. and
Mrs. R. C. Faggard Saturday af
ternoon and attended the rally.
Mrs. Tollie Goff has recovered
sufficiently to be brought home
from the Jackson County hospi
tal.
The revival which has been !
conducted for the past two weeks
at the Caswell Springs church
by Rev. Scott, pastor of the Kre
ole Methodist church, came to
a close Friday night.
The Rev. and Mrs. W. C. Wv
att and little niece, Dixie Davis,
were dinner guests Sunday of Mr.
and Mrs. Jesse Watson.
Pvt and Mrs. Dick Warden of
Keesler Field spent the weekend
with the latter’s parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Curtis Waltmon.
Little A. J. Waltmon of Ocean
Springs is spending a few days
with relatives in Wade.
Pvt. Arnie Waltmon, who is sta
tioned at Keesler Field, spent the
weekend with his mother, Mrs. L.
C. Faggard.
Mrs Frances Adkison and
mother, Mrs. Tollie Goff, were in
Mobile Friday where Mrs. Goff
received medical treatment.
Friends of little Janet Williams
are glad she is able to be up and
around again after having had
her tonsils removed recently.
L. L. Waltmon underwent a
medical check up in Mobile Fri
day.
A large crowd attended the af
ternoon services at Caswell
Springs Sunday afternoon. The
pastor, the Rev. James William
son was in charge.
The Board of Stewards of Cas
well Springs church met in reg
ular monthly session Monday
night when a very fine financial
report was heard.

about two-thirds of Illinois.
