H. P. S mith was a Poplarville Visitor last Friday. Mrs. Lewis, who has been vis iting her parents here, Dr. and Mrs. H. H. Bilbo, returned to her home at Boguechitto, last Saturday. During the past week the fol lowing births have been record ed: Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Gann a girl; Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Sweet a girl. To the fond parents we tender congratulations. W. E. Law, manager of the Smith Company’s turpentine works, is in town today. John Amacker of Derby was in town last Friday. J. A. H. Smith of beat 5, was here Friday. Mrs. C. JI. Hyde and children returned Monday from Slidell where they have been attending the bedside of Mrs. Hyde’s moth i er, who is quite ill. 1 Miss Lula White of Biloxi,, the charming daughter of Hon. Walter A. White, is the the guest of I. V. Enochs and family. PL F. Tate of Pickayune, and fii's bright little 6 year-old son were visitors here yesterday. Hons. PL A. McLain and E. M. Barber will address the citizens of Pearl River county at the court house in Poplarville on Monday, October 15. 1900. Askew and his aged sister, Mrs. Manah Haw kins, which occurred on the same day. Their remain s were inter red in the Clear Creek grave yard on Sunday Sept. 30th. Both these people were very old and the for mer was the father of W. H. As kew, who is well known here. Mr. ami Mrs. Jno; S.
