VOLUME FORTY-FOUR Board of Supervisors. Starkville, Miss., July 3, 1911. The Board of Supervisors of Oktibbeha county met in regular session on Monday the 3rd day of July, 1911. All officers and mem bers present. The board with clerk at front of court house let contract for build ing bridge across slough on Hunt road and was bid by B. B. Beau ford at 90c per running foot. The board also let contract for building bridge across Hand creek on Louisville and Houston road s mth of Sturges, B. B. Bufford bid 90c per running foot, it being lowest bid was accepted. The fol lowing roads were let at public outcry, Hunt from Sturges to county line, no bid received. Shuffield from Maben to Blake Johnsons, no bid; Connell, from Johnsons to VV. E. Williams, bid pff by F. H. Love at $35.00 par mile accepted and recorded in rainrite book 7, p 518, to he 1.0 feet wide and raised 2 feet in cen ter for 2 years bond to be up- . A protracted meeting began at the Baptist church, (Old Salem), Bro. Newton assisting Bro. Miller. Miss Lyda Roberson, and Mr. Wallace Nichols were quietly mar ried at the home of the brides father. Sunday, It was quite a saprise to their friends, as it was kept a secret. Rev. Mr. Nabors, Methodist pastor officiating, they left rmmeadiately toy their home at Oktoc, Miss., where tne groom has an entensive cattle business. Mr. John Nabors of Carrollton, Miss., brother of the Methodist pastor, came down Sunday from Starkville with his brother. Miss Lucile Robinson was also out from Starkville to be present at her sisters marriage Sunday. Bolton, wife and children, after a stay with Mrs. Bolton’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.
